Covered By The Lust Of Man

Covered By The Lust Of Man

Women’s faces are covered by the lust of man,

There are places in our world where a newborn cat has more rights than them,

We are taught to worry about the mental health of all men,

Don’t get me wrong it is important,

but not more than the lives of the women forced to live in stealth.

***:

This poem is about the woman of Afghanistan who are required to hide their faces and whole body because of the patriarchal rule of the government. This is not a slander of the cultural importance of the Hijab, but a necessary thing that needs to be said about the Taliban's rule in Afghanistan.
